The Incident

According to local reports, a sudden cloudburst in Sahastradhara late Monday night made small rivers and streams overflow. Within hours, water rushed into low-lying areas, creating chaos in several parts of Dehradun city.

Tapovan and the IT Park zone were among the worst affected. Many houses were submerged, while hotels and shops near Sahastradhara suffered major losses. The Dehradun–Haridwar highway also faced damage after a bridge collapsed.

Missing People

Two people have been reported missing after the sudden Uttarakhand flash floods. Police, SDRF, and NDRF teams are searching for them with the help of local residents.
